I just came upon this site today. I don't know if you have had the surgery already, but I had an anterior cervical discectomy with fusion done on two discs in September, 1999. Am just going back to work, and the pain is just starting to subside. According to the surgeon, it takes up to six months to get maximum relief. Sometimes it seems like it wasn't worth the effort, but I keep on trying. Am now going through physical therapy. Let me know how you are doing.
