RHEUMATIC FEVER

My son also got sick in November. His ASO went up to 2,442. His sed rate was going up in the beginning. The doctor put him on aspirin and antibiotics. His ASO was still elevated buthis SED rate came down. He had joint swellings in his knees and legs. He had migratory arthralgia. He had some swelling in his face and neck. His heart is okay. My alergy pediatrician didn't document the swellings in his knees or the high fevers that went on for two plus weeks. I documented it, and so did other health officials. He was taken off the antiboiotic by my ped. I took my son to another specialist that was highly recommended to me. My son is now on an anitibotic and will be seeing another Rheumatologist. The danger of not being on a propalatic antibiotic is a reoccurrence of a new episode and heart desease. I too am looking for more information. I believe my son had Rheumatic Fever and I don't want to take any chances with him.
