This msg concerns my mom (60's) who I'm extremely worried about. She's had & been taking meds for High Blood Pressure many, many years. Esp within say last 5 or so yrs it has been impossible to control. Meds are increased, added, etc. She has been to numurous drs & a year ago had heart surgery b/c of BP. She worries about any & everything & blows trivial things out of porportion. I am thinking since nothing else has worked, maybe if she was on some sort of anxiety/anti-depressant med... I mean, you can have high BP w/o being depressed & vice-versa BUT if BP tends to fluctuate anyway adding excess stress can't be helpful. To me it makes sense to, say, correct cause instead of focusing on fixing end result. ??? She doesn't admit to being (actually probably really believes she isn't) a worrier but... she is extreme & seems to get worse with age. I don't know what to do for her & now am considering contacting her dr myself although I'm sure it won't do much if any good. PLEASE HELP!! Any comments/advice at all would be greatly appreciated.
