I had them removed at about your age, after many bouts of strep throat & infections. You will be very sore - eat ice chips - not ice cream, which will coat your throat, and make you cough - something you won't want to do! I lost alot of blood (as did my mom when she had them removed as an adult), but in the end, it was worth it! I rarely get sore throats/colds, almost 20 years later. Good luck!
