Hello, You poor thing! I know what you are going through. I am 24 and about 10 months ago my Dr. told me I had Dysplaysia, and thats all I knew for a month or 2 until my next appointment. I had so many questions and the more I looked stuff up online the more scared I got. But I did find that the more I mentioned it I discovered how many women I knew that had had it before and were fine. A girlfiend I know had dysplaysia off and on for about 5 years, & after lots of different procedures it eventually became cancer, they told her it would be difficult to have kids. She beat the cancer and is due in August for her 2nd daughter in a month. Lots of women have this and after 1 or 2 treatments it goes away. After my biopsy showed moderate dysplaysia I was reffered to a new Dr. He was so great he told me to not take anything online too seriously and to relax because the less stressed out I was the easier it would be for my body to heal he also said I would definatly still have kids- things would have to get really extreme to not have kids. The walls of my cervix would be a bit thinner but that wouldn't be a problem. He did a leep procedure and it was not bad at all - just scary and a bit messy after. Different Dr.s do different things for different people. I did find out that there are certain vitamins that are beneficial to the reproductive system and certain foods as well. I also know that smoking can make things worse esp. if your fiance smokes not only the 2nd hand smoke but he inhales harmful chemicals that are transfered with his cells through ejaculation and oral sex that actually coat and stick to your cervix. Anyway 2 months ago I had my 4 month followup pap and they say now I have Atypia (basically the stage before dysplaysia) but they wanted to wait 4 months to find out if it it goes away or gets better. So Im waiting. Scary but im trying to relax and let whatever happens happen. Good luck and just make sure you trust your docter and his advice.
