Have you seen a rheumatologist. Have they looked into Polymyalgia Rheumatica. You can get a pamphlet from the Arthritis Foundation about Polymyalgia Rheumatica. The treatmanet is prednisone and you will know in 24 hours if the pain improves that is what it is. This is something mostly women over 50 get. cause is not known. most people have an elevated sed rate but a small percentage do not. worth a look into as pain in hips is on major symptom.
