Elizabeth my childhood with enco was just like yours. My parents loved me very much but their efforts to "cure" me hurt our relationships very badly. I felt like monkey in the research labs where they run all king of experiments and give all kinds of drugs and medecines and watch and wait to see what the effect or outcome was. Hardly a minute went by in my first 14 years of life that my colon wasn't the topic of discussion, causing me pain and anxiety, or getting me in trouble with my parents or Drs. or teachers or friends. I just wanted to never ever poop again and the more everyone tried to make me poop the more I tried not to.
Then at the age of 14, wearing pullups and in a lot of pain from an impacted colon, a neighbor intervened and rescued me and my family. It is a very long story but in short she cleaned me out with mineral oil and warm water enemas and put me on a schedule with one sit a day for 5 minutes with no expectations except to relax. And, every other day after my 5 minute sit a 8 0z, warm water enema regardless. I still have the first pair of panties she let me put on and to this day although I'm sure I'm a holder I stick to my sitting and enema schedule and am accident free. Heather
