unlike you, i have hyperthyroid (as oppossed to hypo), but I had the same symptoms. The hot flashes are caused because of the rate at which your thyroid is working at. Do you have excellerated heart rate, short of breath? Some of these symptoms will only go away if you keep taking your medication. If they continue, you have the option of doing the iodine treatment (which i had to do because after taking medication for 2 years it didn't seem to be helping at all.) Hope all goes well! Take care
