Hi. I have been hypothyroid for 6 years and I had hot flashes as well. I just wanted to tell you that I went to a naturopath who told me that if you are not born with hypothyroidism it can be cured. I changed on to a natural thyroid support called "Armour". It supplies not just T4 but also T3. Both are very important. My GP would never admit this. I was on this Armour for several months and am now being weened off because i am now hyperthyroid on the med. I no longer need to be on any medication. I think it is a miracle. I don't know if this can help you, but it is worth a shot.
