Just a few thoughts: Having both Hep B & Hep C, I have learned that good nutrition is a key factor. No, I mean, NO, alcohol! Do not compromise the liver any further, or he will be asking for an attack. I also have been taking Milk Thistle every day, and from looking at scans, my liver has actually improved. Your son should have blood tests every so often to determine that nothing has activated (higher enzymes), particularly C. I haved lived with this since 1979. The only one to keep a watch on is the Hep C...it can activate at any time.
