HI My mom forward this message to me. You are not alone. I can help you get the support and help your family needs. I have a son who just turned 1 with CF. Diagnosed at birth with several complications and spent 5 1/2 months in the hospital. But please dont let this scare you. One thing you will learn and I will tell you is that every CF patient is different. The severity effects each Cf'er differently. There is no crystal ball for the Dr's to read and no hard evidence for them to speculate your childs future. But we (parents with Cf children) and your Dr's is how you can keep ypu child healthy with cleanliness, precautions, chest therapy, enzymes (if your child is pancreatic insufficient) and other meds if needed.
