Hi, I to have dealt with this issue for years, and I have not had the surgery but wanted to let you know what my orthopedic doctor has told me about it. The amount of success is based on how active you are before the surgery because you will only get out what you put in to your rehab. I am a rehabilitation counselor and understand somethings that some may not. There are no two individuals/cases that are the same so nothing, no amount of success can be guaranteed. Age also plays a major role in making this decision. I suggest getting all the info you can, watch a resource video on the actual surgery. Weigh it's benefits against what your health needs truly are. Pray and ask for guidance, then make a decision and stick with it. I also suggest that you check out pain management before making a decision they have clinics all over. Surgery should be your last and final recourse. Wishing you the best always. Take care!
