My wife suffered from piriformis syndrome for over 5 years. 50,000. dollars later we found a " CURE " I dont know of anyone in Texas but Dr. Henry Bohlman at the University Hospitals of Cleveland is the director of the spine institute at this Hospital. He is very familiar with this problem and has various treatments including the piriformis muscle release. I would recommend your friend have a MRI of her HIP not Back. They say this is the only way to confirm the nerve compression. Also possibly have an Open MRI guided injection. My wife had the Injection and release and is doing wonderful !
