Hello. My wife and I are having our son Gabriel next week. He was diagnosed with achondroplasia at the 30th week of pregnancy, but final determination will have to await his birth. We have found that there are on-line parent support groups for this disorder. You can find one through the Little People of America (LPA) site or by contacting the Greenberg Center for Skeletal Dysplasias at John Hopkins Medical Center. This center is world renowned and actually has a doctor on staff who is an achondroplast. If you have any difficulty locating these sites, email me and I will be glad to forward them to you.
