hives

I had hives from 1978 until 1985. I went to the following hospitals: Duke,Johns Hopkins, and Chapel Hill; plus a few smaller hospitals. I received no help from any of them. The only medication that helped me was prednisone, and I only took it twice because I attributed a blood clot in my left leg to the prednisone. I was finally told that stress was my big problem; this was after all kinds of tests. However, even after retiring, I continued to have hives for approximately nine months. My cure started only a few days after I started taking Sulfur (not the "sulfa" drug.) I took a cream of tartar pills that contained sulfur, however, this drug has been discontinued. This was the type of sulfur that "old folks" used to take when they said their blood needed cleansing. There is a sulfur pill you can get called MSM. You can get it at health food stores. I don't know if the MSM will help, but you could try it. However, if I ever get hives again, and they won't go away, I will take sulfur that you can get from the drug stores. My drugist said it is not good for compsumption, but I would try a little of it; the "old folks" used it for cleansing. I hope you get help. Believe me, I know what you are going through.
