Hi, My son was in the hospital for days when he was 3. He had an extreme amount of inflammation show up in his blood work. It was not related to his kidneys but they ran every possible test looking for it's source and found that he had two tubes from his right kidney. It was not a problem at all and they said it should never cause problems. At first, they thought it could be because they thought the urine may be going back into his kidney from his bladder but further test showed it was alright. I remember them showing me and I could see his kidneys working and at the top of the tube is a valve which they said sometimes you only see one valve on one tube and not on the other allowing the urine to go back into the kidney from the bladder causing infections but both tubes had a valve that functioned properly. I had never heard of it before and haven't since until now. Please let me know how you do.
