hi, my name is laurie and I under went gallbladder surgery, and my experience is that if you are having the laproscopic surgery that your recoop time is nil, the is no stitches and you just feel a little bruised but I was only down a day and felt weak for about a week, but able to go places and do things there is a weight restriction on what you are allowed to carry or pick up , but look at it as a mini vacation and enjoy the time off, my husband had the surgery too and he is a semi truck driver and he did it over a weekend and was back to work in no time.
