I hope you are having a laparoscopy (keyhole surgery). If not, cancel your surgery and ask for it! If you have the old-fashioned 'cut', you will take eight weeks to recover. With the lap, it's much better. I had one 4 years ago. The first night was quite painful, but by 16-20 hours later, I was trotting down to the tea shop with my friends, quite mobile and in only mild pain. (In fact, five days later, I embarked on a sexual relationship with the man who later became my husband. This, my surgeon told me, was too soon, but it did me no harm!) I now have a scar roughly 5 centimetres long near my diaphragm, one around the lower part of my navel, and two pinpoint scars elsewhere. None are at all noticeable. Go to a homeopath, as I did, and ask for remedies which help to rid you of the effects of the anasthaesia, and you will recover very quickly. The only difference I have noticed is that I do have a slight problem digesting very rich fats.
