My 16 year old son has had a hydrocele for six months. It is triple the size of the other testicle. He says he has no discomfort, but during his sporting events he doesn't seem to run or perform like he use to. I would like to speak to an athletic person who has had a hydrocele and could let me know if he had any discomfort during physical exercise. I feel my son is afraid of surgery and not willing to tell us exactly how he feels.
