Hi-I don't know what state you live in, but I work for a clinic that deals primarily in worker's compensation injuries. If this is in fact a work related injury, you should be covered by your employers insurance policy for work related injuries. Especially if you are unable to work, there are income benefits that you are eligible for. I DO NOT recommend neck or back surgery. There ARE alternatives and most people that have the surgery end up worse off than when they started. We have patients who have had the surgery and they wind up with more and/or different problems than when they started. My suggestion is to find a good chiropractor who is set up to handle work comp injuries. We help our patients with everything from income benefits, problems with their employers and their insurance companies in addition to treating them for their injury. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me and I would love to help in any way I can. You should not be suffering and without income! If you can, you might look into finding a lawyer that handles work comp injuries also. They will usually not charge for an initial consultation and they can tell you what your options are. Good luck.
