You should go to your closest Social Security Office ASAP. That is where you can apply for SSDI (Social Security Disability Insurance). If approved for this program, you will collect Soc. Sec. checks. After a one-year wait, you will start receiving Medicare benefits. You should also go to your Personnel Department. Ask the Head of that Dept. how you can apply for "Workman's Compensation." That is all handled through the company you work for. The sooner you apply for all these benefits, the sooner you can get the help you need!
