I was diagnosed first with M.S. in l99l and was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia in l993. Doctors say that I have both problems. The symptoms for the two illnesses are so similar that you don't know which is causing what. The MRI's of the brain and spinal cord help to diagnose. Fibromyalgia has been known to follow up being diagnosed with M.S. or Lupus so a lot of us have both. It's very frustrating for doctors because Neurologists don't deal with Fibromyalgia and I think most don't believe it exists. Rheumatologists are the doctors for the Fibromyalgia. I wish you luck in finding some doctors you like and trust!
