About three years about I too was diagnoised with latex allergies. I have had to leave my profession and make a career change and adapt to a new life style. In December of 2000 I had a severe reaction to sprays containg latex related products (aloe) and was put on steroids for a week. Recently I visited my doctor for a regular check up and she warned me that because of my latest exposure that I am now open for a more severe reaction that could result in my death. Yes, that scares the hell out of me, but not any more than the fact that so few medical professionals are so ignorant to the life threatening allergy of LATEX. My advice to you, always assume that all medical personel need to be educated on our allergy, educating the public could save your life or someone elses, like myself. Good Luck
