My son has ADD and is almost 15. He is only 5'1" and weighs less than 100 lbs. He has been taking Ritalin for 4 yrs. with summers off. He has not really gone through puberty yet. His dr. has prescribed Adderall since my son does not want to take medication during school. He needs medicine for attention problems only, but I am worried about his lack of growth. He is smaller than the majority of his classmates. Can he just take Adderall on the days when he has a test? Is there any way of knowing whether the medicine is responsible for his short height? His father stands 5'10" and I'm 5'2 1/2". He has not shot up over the 2 1/2 month summer vacation. Thanks to anyone who can help.
