I also have mitrovalve prolapse. When I was pregnant I had severe tachacardia as a result of the mitrovalve prolapse. The Doctors told me it was not life threatening, although I felt seriously ill. Recently I discussed this problem with my Dr. as I am thinking about having another child. He told me if I had heart problems during pregnancy again they could put me on inderol. Ask your Dr. about that. Maybe it could help you. Good luck.
