My sister had her gallbladder removed in 1998. A year later in 1999, she had to have surgery again to remove a gallstone which was in the bile duct. She was in a lot of pain, and contributed it to her pregnancy. After the baby was born, the pain persisted, and emergency surgery was performed. We learned that gallstones can develop without the presence of a gallbladder. It never really made much sense to me, but must be true...we lived it!! Good luck to you, and God bless.
