Jann, I wrote a response to your message yesterday but am new to the internet and not sure if I did it properly. I wanted you to have my email address in case you wanted to have it. I have hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and live in a small city where not even the doctors have seen a case like mine. It's very isolating. I am dealing with a lot of issues right now and have also lost relatives (4) to this condition. It's very frightening but I am being very brave (ha ha). Anyway, I just lost my mom in April to cancer and I feel for what you're going through. If you wouldn't mind, could you tell me more about what happened to your husband? Did he know he had a condition? Where did it happen? I am trying to put together an organization to help inform patients with HOCM about the risks of sudden death and what they can do about it.
