Hi! I have asthma, too.It goes through times when it is under control, and times when it isn't. Is your doctor a pulmonary or allergy specialist? If you are still seeing a general practitioner for your asthma, I would check into finding a specialist. It sounds like your case is way beyond your current doctor's level of expertise. I would think there should be something that would help you be able to participate in the life of a normal teen, to have your asthma under good control at least some of the time. Talk with your doctor about how badly all this is affecting you, and ask for a consultation with a specialist, or perhaps a referral to a university hospital, if there is one within a reasonable distance.
