hi, i read your letter in healthlinkusa, i live in england and have just been diagnosed with asthma, i am a 52 year old male, does the usa have a thing called stepwise, where you formulate a management programme with your doctor, you step up and down treatment acordingly to your asthma, if your doc is having difficulty controlling your asthma, either ask for a second opinion or a referal to a specialist, but you must control the asthma dont let it control you,be agressive about seeking treatment,i dont mean agressive like a punch in your docs nose, but write down every day, peak flows, what your feeling, keep a diary so any medical person can refer to it. hey good luck keep on fighting youll get there bye.
