Sorry to hear about your situation, and can really sympathize with you. I too take steriods because of a kidney disease that I have. I started out taking 80mg and am currently taking 40mg. I have been on them since Jan. and I have the round face and have gained weight too. My clothes are getting tight, my face breaks out, and hair is in terrible condition. The only thing that I have discovered to help with the swelling and weight gain is to watch the sodium intake. Try to limit it to 2000mg a day. Hope this is helpful.
