I would not do the hydro. It can make you worse depending on your particular case. My symptoms are urethral and the catheter gave me an infection that they can't find and have been on Keflex for months now. Also it sounds like to me you have an infection. SOmetimes they can not detect infections. They can diagnos IC without this you know. Leading urologists like Robert Moldwin don't use them anymore and I think we will be seeing more of this as some patients have worse IC afterwards. I wouldn't chance it.
