My three year old granddaughter has the same problem. Her pediatrition had her mom order liquid Senokot from a pharmacy. It is not a prescription and not carried on the shelves, but it can be ordered by any drug store pharmacy. If you can bribe the three year old to take it every night or every other night, she will have bowl movements while you are working on the diet. It will not make her dependant on it, her doctor says.
