My son is 20 months and is having speech therapy. The therapist is now sending us to be evaluated for apraxia. When my son was a year old he had his tongue snipped because they said he was tongue tied. Before the surgury he could say thing plain like mummum and dada, papa, dog. Now he doesn't talk hardly at all, once in a while if you say the same word over and over he will say it. Then he won't say it again for awhile or maybe you will never hear it again. He can't say animal sounds mostly its pointing and ba. Its really scary being a Mom and not knowing what to do to help your kids. I hope everything works out for you.
