I stuttered very badly until age 25; tried several different therapists, to no avail. I would not talk on the phone at all and failed English (Speech) - otherwise B+ average - because my idiot HS teacher said it was mental and I could talk; she had me get up in front of the class and hold this huge dictionary while I tried to speak so my hands wouldn't shake; I did even worse than usual. Then, after moving to Tallahassee, FL, I enrolled in stuttering therapy class and was totally cured in 3-4 months; it was a radically new technique then (1960) and I was one of the fortunate guinea pigs. I don't know the name of the method but would be happy to discuss what I can remember of it with you. I also had a lot of prayer! Getting healed of stuttering greatly changed my whole life for the better; I can really sympathize with you. God bless you.
