if your son appears to be struggling along with the repetitions, then i would definitely have it checked out... it could just be what is called normal developmental disfluency which usually disappears after a while... for your own peace of mind, you might want to have him screened by a speech pathologist... check with your local school system or if there is a university close by, you might want to go there... if he is a true stutterer, the earlier you get started working on a remedy, the better... good luck
