Sorry to hear about your breakout! i know shingles can be quite painful. my friend's 7 yr old son broke out with them!so yes!! young people can get shingles ,Dr also told her that sometimes sevevre stress can harm our immune system & make old viruses come out (his mom & dad were going thru a divorce)so he was having some problems with that.hope your break out isn't too severe.
