I had shingles when I was arond 16 years old. I had chicken pox when I was very young. At the time that I had shingles I also had some other "inflamatory" type of symptoms that were never diagnosed as anything. I am now 30 years old and was just diagnosed with Chrones diease. I dont know if anyone has ever done studies on the connection of inflamatory type of illness but I think that there may be a link somewhere. Chrones is also common in younger persons 17-25 years old. good luck.
