Hi! I did not have shingles as a young adult, but I did have them as a child. I was about 6 or 7 years old.They itched temendously. They were on my left side. They only lasted about 2-3 weeks and I hav'nt had them since. I was told that I probably had chicken pox before I got the shingles.
