I have been taking Fosomax for about 2 years now, and the last check-up indicated that my bone density has improved about 40%. I was at the stage of fracture, but foretunately, my bones did not fracture. It's important that one sits up for at least half an hour after taking the pill so the acid conditions don't ensue.
