I too was diagnosed with Polymyalgia Rheumatica (in December) and was put on both Prednisone and muscle relaxers, Quinine Sulfate, 260 mg twice a day. Rheum. now thinks I have have either osteoarthritis or osterporosis. As far as I can tell by checking out the disease on the web, muscle tightness is linked to poly. rheum. Hope this helps Betty
