SKIN RASH

Hi. I have this too. It just started 3 weeks ago. Coin shaped lesions (size varies, biggest one about the size of a dime). Worst on lower legs, but also present on upper legs, hips, lower abdomen, breasts and arms. Upper body ones are smaller and lighter. Lower leg ones are very red and bigger. I went to the dr. and was given Keflex. This did no good and new spots appeared. Was sent to a dermatologist who said it "looks most like psoriasis". He recommended .1% cortizone cream which I am to apply twice a day. Said if that doesn't work, he can try ultra violet light therapy. So far (3 days now), I see no change. I don't have any spots on my face...and I hope they don't develop there. The dr. says he doesn't think it will. Do you have spots on your face? I don't know if this is psoriasis for sure. He says if it is, it's hereditary (I'm adopted so I don't know), and can be brought about by a viral infection involving a sore throat, stress, and dry skin. He also told me to moisturize and get out in the sun (hard to expose my lower legs to sun until it gets warmer!) Krista
