My little baby is going to have to have the same surgery. I am probably just as scared as you are. The doctor who is going to operate on my daughter is Dr. Nigel Price in Kansas City, MO. He said this surgery was a much better way to correct scoliosis than a brace. And that it was much less tramatic believe it or not. You will do just fine - having an operation is scary to think about but not to go through. The only thing you will feel is the shot to start the I.V. - after that you will be in a hospital bed with family there to comfort you. Just say a prayer and ask the Lord for His peace and comfort to surround you -- I will do the same for you okay!? Good Luck!
