I am 20 years old and I was just recently diagnosed as having to get scoliosis surgery. One of my curves is at 50 degrees. Since than I am not only very scared and often find myself crying. I am going to get my surgery done in June. I was first diagnosed with scoliosis when I was about 13 years old and used to have to wear a brace. I was wondering if there was somone who has had this surgery, if they can tell me about there experiance a little bit and exactly how they went about choosing a surgeon. I was also wondering if the way I have been feeling is normal, and if anyone else feels this way, I have never had surgery before and I am so incredibly scared. I am trying not to let the thought take over my life, but I am finding it very hard when I have so many questions as well as so many uncertainties. If anyone can help me it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
