hi, i am Nicky from the UK. I had severe HS in the groin and had radical surgery on both sides of my groin. I am left with very bad scarring at the top of both legs but I am totally pain free. However months afetr i had this operation the cysts came out under my arms and have just had surgery to remove the mass right down to my pits. It was very painful afterwards, the skin grafts took a long time to heal, but apart from scarring i can lead a 'normal' life again. I would advise anyone in your situation to go for surgery, for the sake of a few weeks discomfort following surgery, you willl be pain free for life.
