I had transplants 35 years ago in Montreal and have had good vision and a very successful life so you should keep a positive attitude. If your vision is still good with contacts, stick with them as long as you can. If your vision is poor and you are not happy with your doctor, contact the big hospitals in California and see who has done a lot of transplants and go and see him. I found that I had to see a number of doctors before I got the right person. In Canada, this is easier because we have Medicare. If you need the surgery, your insurance should cover it. Contact your insurance carrier to confirm that it does. Hope these suggestions help. Good Luck!!!
