Hi Patty I was diagnosed with cystic mastitis(same thing) when I was 23 after the birth of my daughter. I am now almost 46 and have never had to have a biopsy or cyst removed.. I do have mamms every other year now.. (when initially diagnosed I was having them every year) am I just lucky? I'm not sure.. but it is difficult for me to do self breast exams because it seems they are always changing:( I was told the only thing to watch for was a "Clustering" of the cysts.. I dunno... maybe you should try another doc? I would hate to think of having bilateral mastectomies .... no fun at all!!!! Let me know what you think, Robbie
