I also have RSD, I have had it since 1995. From what I understand if it is caught within 3 months, and they do nerve blocks, etc 9 times out of 10, it can be knocked out of you. I couldn't use the cream, it actually burnt my skin and I broke out from it, everyone is different, if the RSD is really bad, you need to find a good pain management doctor, the 2 rx's that helped me was fentanyl patch, the only drawback that I had with that was that I couldn't be out in the sun with it, so during the summer I change my meds to methadone, I am on a low dose and it does work. Good luck, every med, treatment, etc works differently on people, you have to try and find out which one will work for you.
