Your sister's condition sounds exactly like mine. My problem started in 1989 when I had a slipped disk. I had back surgery & did okay for a couple of years. After that, I began having trouble walking and had a lot of pain & numbness on my right side. Since then things have gotten progressively worse. I have had two back and two neck surgeries. I have had MRI's, injections, myleogram (sp?) & numerous test by neurologists. They thought I might have MS, but then they said no. I have trouble walking. I can only go a short distance with a walker (8-10 feet). I have not been able to drive or go to my upstairs for 2 years. I have had some bad falls. If you find a doctor to help your sister, please let me know. I, like your sister, was a very active person until the last few years. I am 62 years old and went on disability in March. I just want to be able to do for myself again. Any info you can give me will be much appreciated. I also tried physical therapy, massage & water therapy. Didn't help.
