Hi Krista - How is your husband doing now? There are no concrete answers to this question. I had clots in the lungs as a result of angioplasty and have a lot of permanent damage. My doctor tells me that different people's bodies do different things and there are no general rules in this. The only thing he can do is watch for and follow up quickly when there are signs of something possibly going wrong. Outside of medication to disolve the clot there is nothing available to treat the damage left behind if there is any. Like my doctor told me - Sorry this is not what you want to hear but there are no magic wands with this. It is a frustrating thing to deal with for the good doctors as well as the patients. Jean
