Hi Michelle, Sorry to hear your mom has PMR. Have had it since Jan. 03. There are medications to help the symptoms but basically from what I've experience, the disorder runs its course, how ever long that may take. Your mother must first see a doctor to run blood tests and check for elevated sed rate &/or CRP rate, plus arthritis tests and more. The doctor will be able to diagnose if she had PMR. If she does have it, I'm sure the doctor will put her on the proper meds and other assists she might need. There are lots of posts here concerning PMR, so read up on what others are doing to fight it. Good luck and have your mom get help ASAP. The meds will help her in a day or two.
